Quite a while ago I posted here about a project I'd started, to create a sort of open-source reincarnation of Altitude.

Although both the thread and the links I posted there died, the great solemnsky project is still under way. I'm sure we're going to make this happen.

I have no idea whats going on now, as far as coding, but I can help with art, testing and marketing when its time for all that if you'd like ^^

No, sorry! The current objective is to get a modding interface up; after I reach that point, I'll stabilize and release a solid alpha demo.

Absolutely; it would be great to have a logo, a color scheme, and some basic branding (font etc). Talking about this on the Slack group would be optimal; I just need your email to sign you in.
