Playing with a Graphics Tablet
So, I noticed my graphics tablet on my desk whilst playing Altitude today and I had an idea. As Altitude basically only needs mouse, right click and left click, I can achieve all three with the pen on my tablet.
After playing for about an hour, I found that it was quite an effective control mechanism, as it allows far greater precision as well as fast reactions. Kinda like a combo of low mouse sensitivity and high sensitivity. I urge everyone with a graphics tablet to give it a try and say what you think of it. Seriously, it's great fun! |

I tried it with a A6 and A4 tablet - was interesting for sure, but I'll stick to a mouse thanks. (The A6 was easier btw, smaller surface for quicker turns & smaller movements)
Whilst the transition from mouse to table was easy enough, I couldn't get the buttons to 'feel' right. That and I kept on lifting the pen too high and losing control (not being able to turn or shoot). Good for lol's though. |
