Hey guys,
Thanks to Google it seems like it is possible to speed up or slow down every youtube video. I think this is incredibly useful when watching altitude games on youtube, or maybe I am just spoiled by starcraft replays. I believe this is still an experimental option so you have to opt in first:
1) Go to
http://www.youtube.com/html5 and join the html5 trial.
2) Find any video that is uploaded in h.264 (any of my videos:
http://youtu.be/OXQHLflSTvM)
3) Go to the settings button on the bottom and you should see Speed options (2x, 1.5x, Normal, 0.5x, 0.25x) in addition to the Quality options
I have only gotten it working in Chrome so far, but in theory it should work in any browser that supports h.264 and html5.
Anyway, this should be useful if you want to watch long games or find a specific part in a game. Also, if there are parts where you think "wtf just happened?" you can slow it down to 0.5x or 0.25x and find out.
